INTERNSHIP OFFER - Project Coordinator

MAPP is looking for of a project coordinator Newly arrived in the city or a first-generation immigrant who is looking to integrate into the Montreal professional environment at the intersection of arts and technology.

This position is paid through the DéMarT program of the Conseil des arts de Montréal. More information can be found here.

MAPP_MTL is looking for an intern in the production and coordination of projects for its artistic and cultural events in Montreal. Integrated into the heart of our dynamic team, the intern will actively participate in the production of events and in the development of the professional relationships that we have built over the past 10 years through the festival. You will play a key role in the organization and visibility of MAPP_MTL projects across the city.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated person who wants to immerse themselves in the Montreal artistic scene while promoting enriching encounters and collaborations.

Main missions

1. Communication and coordination

  • Participate in the smooth flow of information internally and with our partners.
  • Assist the communications department on event promotion missions
  • Be in direct contact with artists, volunteers and collaborators to ensure the smooth running of events.

2. Logistics management

  • Follow all the stages of production of cultural projects.
  • Support the coordination of suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Production of events with the management of spaces, the assembly of installations and the management of equipment.
  • Help with the configuration of digital tools
  • Coordinate technical needs with artists and speakers.
  • Be present on the ground during events.

3. Project Management

  • Perform regular follow-ups with the various stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation and operational monitoring of events (schedules, deliveries, deliverables).
  • Coordinate logistics productions between MAPP_MTL and its partners.

4. Information intelligence and document management

  • Update databases (partners, volunteers, technical data sheets).
  • Ensure documentary follow-up related to projects.

5. Continuous improvement

  • Identify weak points in processes and propose concrete improvements.

Profile wanted

Qualifications

  • Degree in project management, cultural production, or any relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in event production and/or communication is an asset.

Skills

  • Excellent organization, rigor and autonomy.
  • Clear communication, in French and English (written and oral).
  • Proactivity, resourcefulness, team spirit.
  • Interest in digital arts and emerging culture.

Remuneration
The internship includes a fee of $12,000 for 600 hours of work, or an hourly rate of $20.
